Postdoc

My research draws on the interdisciplinary study of late medieval and early modern literacy, with emphasis on Latin and Romance manuscripts. Some of my main topics of interest are the manuscript miscellanies used and produced by late medieval religious, the authorial agency of textual compilers, the development of literary strategies within late medieval and early modern interpretive communities, and the impact of medieval women's readership and literacy. I am member of the Textual Scholarship Research Group  of the Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics (NorS) of the University of Copenhagen.

Current research

After publishing my book Franciscan Books and their Readers: Friars and Manuscripts in Late Medieval Italy, I am exploring the practices of reading of the interpretive community that produced Copenhagen, Arnamagnæan Institute, MS AM 377 fol., the Libro de los Epítomes, as part of the project The Book of Books: Hernando Colón’s Libro de los Epítomes.
